ABOUT KULTA
KULTA is a culture center located in the town of Tromsø, Northern Norway. It
forms the work platform for a team of artists and culture workers who have
Tromsø our home. KULTA is dedicated to promote learning, teaching, meeting
and sharing between professionals, amateurs, young and not-so-young alike.

KULTA offers professional services in the fields of theatre, circus arts,
film, technical assistance for performances and concerts, events,
arrangement logistics, tutoring and workshops. We provide services to a
broad range of cultural institutions, independent groups and individuals,
public and private industry.
KULTA also has:
Kulta seen from the top of the cable car “Fjellheisen” in Tromsø.
- An ensemble of full-time performing artists.
- A technical production team.
- Our own theater venue – KULTA Blackbox, complete with lighting, sound systems, and rigging facilities for aerial circus equipment.
- In-house workshops for costumes, scenography and props.
- A pool of professional instructors in various stage disciplines, circus arts, and more.
- Weekly activities in circus and theater arts every week, for a total of 250 students aged 6-14 years.
- KULTeatret, our own amateur theatre group with about 100 members.
- Norway’s only senior high school circus program.
- The KULTA Academy, offering further training for professionals.
KULTA delivers expertise and professionals to projects “throughout the
world” – as well as in Norway – and we maintain an extensive international
network of contacts. As of today KULTA has given performances and/or
workshops in Sweden, Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Estonia,
Lithuania, Russia, Canada, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, San Marino,
Lebanon, India, South Korea and Japan.
